Privacy Policy

We keep this short and plain. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Who we are

TippSend is a local delivery service operating in South Tipperary, Ireland. Our contact email is contact@tippsend.ie. When we say "we", "us", or "TippSend", we mean the person running this service.

What personal data we collect

When you place an order or make a booking, we collect:

We do not collect or store your payment card details. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

Why we collect it

We need this information to fulfil the delivery you've paid for — to collect your item, deliver it to the right person, and contact you if something comes up. The legal basis under GDPR is contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)): we can't do the job without it.

How we use it

We do not use your data for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for any commercial purpose.

Who we share it with

Your data is shared only with services that are essential to running TippSend:

These providers process information needed to provide their services. Hosting and email processing may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area; provider terms and safeguards apply.

How long we keep your data

We retain information needed for delivery, customer support and applicable accounting obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of information we no longer need. Automatic deletion is not currently enabled.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@tippsend.ie. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

TippSend uses only essential cookies — for login sessions and form security (CSRF protection). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics services that identify you personally. No cookie consent banner is required.

Data security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with private network access with access restricted to the TippSend operator. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely foolproof.

Data breaches

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) within 72 hours as required by GDPR, and notify affected individuals where appropriate.

Contact & complaints

If you have any question about how we handle your data, email us at contact@tippsend.ie.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC), the supervisory authority for data protection in Ireland.
